Playwright

My first professional production was Paint Her Well for BBC Radio 4, starring David Tennant. Click here to listen.

Since then I’ve written and staged the only dramatic adaptation of A Woman in Berlin.

The world premiere of my play ChildMinder will be staged at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh in June 2023 followed by a short tour to two other Scottish theatres.

I am also developing a TV drama series with the writer Al Smith.

Writing poems feeds my other writing, often providing starter ideas, key images or themes.

Artist

An artist since my adolescence, I have studied painting and printing at Leith School of Art over the past few years.

Art and artists are a recurring theme in my plays, such as Paint Her Well and L’Espace du Vrai Amour (about Edvard Munch)

Recent exhibition
